Yankee Swap

I had no idea what a Yankee Swap was until my husband came home from work and told me he needed a $10 gift for one at work...each year for the last 5 years I've made something for him to take to work.

In Yankee Swap each participant brings a wrapped, unmarked gift and is given a numbers as they arrive. The person who receives the number 1 will pick a gift and open it for all to see. The person who receives number 2 then chooses a gift and opens it, and then must decide whether to keep it or swap it for the first player’s gift. Opening of gifts and swapping takes place until all the presents have been chosen. Finally, the person who picked first gets to choose from all the gifts or keep what he/she has already received. In the end, the gift you are holding is the gift you take home.

This is what I made for him to take to work today...it's a large Lindt chocolate bar which is about 12" x 3 1/2". I made the wrapper for it with a little pocket on the front for a $5 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.

This week's Ippity challenge is to use your very first Ippity stamp. My first two sets were Fishy Philosophy and Devoted but I used Fishy Philosophy first so that is what I used for this challenge. I also used the Mojo Monday sketch for this week too...

...I airbrushed behind the fish and the sentiment with Copics and finished the card with some Stampin' Up rope twine...

...and here are the very first cards I made using this Ippity stamp set...I must really like using those little plastic half bubbles as I just noticed I used them in all three cards!
