"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Hoppy Birthday!
As I was going through my cupboards yesterday I came across this item I made towards the end of last year and just had to share it. I made over twelve of these for a card swap and kept one for myself as it was toooo cute. I had been making explosion boxesfor Christmas when I needed to make a birthday card for my Stampin Up card club. As I was going through my SU stamps the only birthday set I had was Unfrogettable with a cute little jumping frog in it. I thought it would be cute to have him jumping out of the explosion box and so my Hoppy Birthday Box was created. The little frog jumps out at you when you open the box. I hope he brings a smile to your face as he does mine!
Hi, my name is Christy and I love to make things! I quilt, lampwork, make jewelry, paint, scrapbook, stamp ...well let's just say I will try anything at least once! My current love...after God and my family is anything to do with paper and at the top of the list would be my Copic markers, my Stampscape stamps and of course my {Ippity} stamps! I have been rubber stamping for over 20 years. I hope you enjoy the work that I share here on my blog as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Thank you for stopping by, please don't hesitate to leave a message and I hope to see you again soon.
