Can you believe it's the last day of April? Where is the year going? I made today's card using this week's OWH Stars and Stamps sketch...which I flipped around as it suited the Fuzzy Bear stamp by PSX better.

Floral Friday

In honour of the Royal Wedding this morning I thought I'd share my Duchess Rose with you. This composite flower was created from the petals of several fresh roses.
This next flower is also a composite flower called a Glamellia. These were very popular in the 40's and 50's and are appearing more frequently in bridal bouquets today. It is made with several Gladiola florets glued together to make a large blossom that resembles a Camellia...hence the name Glamellia!

Floral Friday

My arrangement today is a casket spray that I made for the Floral Design course I'm taking.... It is made with Snapdragons, Carnations, Pom Pons, Plumosus, Tepe Fern, Salal and Eucalyptus.

When I had finished it and photographed it for my assignment I decided to pull it apart and make a couple of basket arrangements for my neighbours.

I think Spring has arrived in NH as the last of the snow finally melted from my yard a couple of days ago and it's been raining nearly every day this week! I'm looking forward to all the flowers that will soon start to appear in my garden. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

What are you looking for?

"What we see depends mainly on what we look for"...so true and thought provoking! I'm not sure who I would give this card to or for what reason but one day it will be just the card I need. I think it would also be nice framed as a reminder to always look for the good and positive in every situation. Have a great day!

It's Floral Friday so I have a card and some flowers for you today. Firstly, my card is for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge this week. Here's the inspiration photo...
