Today I will have a song in my heart

The other day I came across the "Sing a New Song" stamp set by Ippity but couldn't decide what colours I wanted to use. In the end I decided to make two!

Festive Friday

No Christmas cards today...I've been busy making these Halloween treats all week for my archery class. The stamp is from Ippity's That's Creepy set and I used my Stampin' Up circle punches for the cute little archery target.

The first card today was a special request and while I was having fun playing with rainbow colours I decided to make the second one as well. The house and rainbow in the first card have special meaning for the family it is being given to and I airbrushed the rainbow with Copics.

I've been very busy lately and haven't had much time to participate in all my favourite challenges but when I saw this week's Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge I couldn't resist. First of all the inspiration verse is one of my favourites..."Be still and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10 and secondly the challenge is to make a CAS card...Clean and Simple! The white background is embossed in one corner with flowers (doesn't show up very well in photograph) and the stamp is from Ippity's set What Matters Most.Supplies:- What Matters Most by Ippity, PTI white cardstock, SU ink, SU coloured cardstock, Embossing folder, Paper flowers, SU half pearls and foam dots.

It's Monday but there's no Ippity Hop today...it feels a little strange as I have not missed one over the last 15 months. The Ippity blog is undergoing a few changes over the next month as they get ready for the new release of stamps in June.

...I stamped the swirls from the set Love in Return on white cardstock and embossed them in clear before sponging the ink over the top. Then I just wiped the ink off the embossed swirls to reveal them.

One of the main reasons I was drawn to {Ippity} stamps was my love for airbrushing and how so many of the {Ippity} stamps could be used and combined for this technique. I haven't airbrushed in a while so today's cards are both airbrushed with Copics. Don't worry if you don't own Copics and an air compressor because you could get very similar results with sponging, watercolours or chalks....just to name a few!

My first card uses stamps from the set The Simple Things and I used only part of the sentiment "While I breathe, I hope."

My second card uses stamps from Now & Always and Music of my Heart. I love this flower from Now & Always and can't believe it's taken my this long to actually airbrush it! I think there might be some more of these on the horizon!

Bring Your Own Sunshine!

Rebekka over at A Diamond in the Rough is hosting a challenge this month for our blog group Tangled Up in Creativity. She challenged us to make a "Vintage Summer Time" project. As I thought about summer I longed for a sunny day which is what inspired my 'sunny' card!

Rebekka is also hosting this week's Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge which is...Things that secure: buttons! No less than three on your card/project.
