I was amazed at how many scraps of paper I had that fit with these colours. I paper pieced the background with a selection of them...I love this technique as it reminds me of quilting which I also love to do!

I kept my card simple fairly simple...I paper pieced the cupcake papers and coloured the icing with SU markers and an aquapainter. I feel like it's missing something...but that could just be me wanting to put ribbon or some other embellishment on it!

I like the colour combination but was also inspired by the rolling hills and little houses and of course the use of watercolours. Here is what I created...the colours are much brighter in person...I took the photo on a rainy day without any natural light.I chose to use old designer paper...I've had it for at least five years perhaps longer. I crinkled the dark brown paper and added hemp twine!

The picture on the front has some ugly dents but I knew I could make a new front and it would make a lovely gift. Unfortunately, the little matching pen didn't work so I replaced it and added some matching ribbons to dress it up a bit. The stamp reads "Some Pursue Happiness, Others Create it."
The second card was made for Splitcoast's 300th card sketch challenge using the {Ippity} set Regal Greetings.

It was definitely a challenge to use these four colours together! I used one of my designs that I had made into a rubber stamp a few years ago to make this card.
