He has made everything beautiful...

This week over on the Stampin' Sisters in Christ blog the challenge is to create a nature card or project using anything pertaining to nature, such as birds, trees, flowers, mountains...the sky's the limit. When I want to make a nature card I always reach for my Stampscapes stamps and Copics. I also used glitter on the water but unfortunately you can't see it in the photo.

Every day is a precious gift...

This week's Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge is to use the colour red and/or blue on your card/project, although it does not need to be a patriotic card. I love this quote from Charles H. Spurgeon and think it's perfect for today...my son's 14th birthday! I've airbrushed this Stampscapes scene with my Copic markers. Have a great day!

Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger

I decided to participate in this week's challenge over at Moxie Fab World. Every Tuesday they post a Tuesday Trigger Challenge which is a photo of something to inspire you to make a card. This week's trigger photo is called Poolside Inspiration...

I think this has been my favourite type of challenge so far. I loved the fact that is wasn't so specific and that the photo would inspire everyone differently. I was immediately drawn to the clean, crisp white outdoor setting, the graphic shapes and designs of the cream and green cushions and the natural coloured outdoor rug and this is what I came up with...

Lest We Forget...

On the 25th of April in Australia we celebrate Anzac Day. Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I.

The Ode of Remembrance, recited at ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day services throughout the British Commonwealth, contains "Lest we forget" as its final line...as we think about those that have sacrificed so much for us let us also remember those that are working so hard for peace and keep them and their families in our prayers.

Challenge Cards

I have two challenge cards to share with you today...I have only just started doing challenges in the last few weeks and I must say how fun they are! The first challenge card was a challenge issued to me by my Mum in Australia. The challenge was to make an Easter card for her dear friend Sister Antoinette, depicting Easter morning with the bible verse from John 11:25 and to include a white silk ribbon (her favourite). I airbrushed the scene with my Copic markers.

The second card was made using a card sketch from Mojo Monday...I think it was from a couple of weeks ago...I had seen the sketch whilst blog hopping and it intrigued me and this is what I came up with!

Stampscapes Lakeside Cove

I really enjoy my Stampscapes stamps and Lakeside Cove is one of my favourites ...

I'm going to share four cards with you today that I've made recently using this stamp. All four cards use other Stampscape stamps too to make each scene slightly different....which is part of the beauty of these stamps. I have so much fun making different scenes and airbrushing them with my Copic markers.

Thinking of You

I made this card a couple of days ago when it was snowing beautifully outside. There's something special about the lovely, quiet snow that makes me want to stay inside and make things in my craft room.

I do have a lovely view from my craft room window and I must admit that I sometimes sit and stare at the view....especially when it's snowing....and don't get very much accomplished.

Today's card, "Thinking of You" features Stampscape stamps and is airbrushed with Copic markers....oh, and of course a satin bow!

Nature is the Art of God

Over the weekend I listed a few cards on Ebay. It's been a few years since I've sold anything on Ebay and since then the economy has changed but I thought I would give it a try. I have cards on Etsy at the moment too where you can list cards for up to four months for one listing fee whereas on Ebay you pay the listing fee and only get 7 days!

Anyway, here are four of the cards I listed using Stampscapes stamps and airbrushed with Copic markers. I really enjoy making these cards....enjoy!

Follow Your Dreams

I love pine trees and am fortunate enough at the moment to be surrounded by them. I love the way they smell, especially after it rains and I love the way they look covered in snow. Yes, they make a mess dropping pine needles, pinecones and branches but cleaning up after them is a small price to pay for their presence.

The following cards have been made using a single pine tree stamp from Stampscapes. I love the versatility of this stamp as it can be used with so many other stamps from the Stampscape line. I'm sure you'll see me use it often in my Stampscape cards as it makes a great filler. For these cards I decided to use it all by itself and make it the feature. I then airbrushed them with Copics in a single colour before making them into cards.

I Love Stampscapes

Last year I took a class at a local stamp shop that was all about airbrushing with Copic markers. I love my Copics so I thought this would be a great way to get more use out of them. Little did I know that I would come away from the class with a new love for Stampscapes. We used stamps from Stampscapes during the class and then airbrushed the backgrounds with Copics. Since that class I have had lots of fun stamping scenes and airbrushing. Today I thought I would share a few cards that feature one of my favourite stamps....Lakeside Cove.....combined with a few other stamps it really makes a lovely scene with endless possibilities.
