Can you believe it's the last day of April? Where is the year going? I made today's card using this week's OWH Stars and Stamps sketch...which I flipped around as it suited the Fuzzy Bear stamp by PSX better.

Just a Note

Molly, over at Miss Molly Creations has challenged our blog group ~ Tangled Up in Creativity to make a very simple card...one sentiment or one picture only. If we use a picture we need to keep it simple - no detailed colouring...just a simple and classic card.

I have always loved this Just a Note stamp by PSX as it is interesting enough on it's own without adding pictures. The pink background paper has a slight glimmer to it which works perfectly with the silk ribbon. I stamped the "Just a note" onto the background paper and cut out the J and the ornate box that surrounds it and popped it up with a foam dot.

Supplies:-
Stamp - PSX
Gina K Luxury cardstock
DCWV DP
SU coloured cardstock
SU ink
SU scallop border punch
Silk ribbon
Foam dots

Black and White with a hint of Green

I made today's cards for the The Play Date Cafe colour splash challenge this week. The Colour Splash challenge is Black & White with a hint of colour. This week's colour is green...any shade is fine! I very rarely reach for green so I thought this would be a good challenge for me. I love black and white cards and I sprinkled on a few rhinestones for a little sparkle on this fairy card....

...but I just wasn't happy with it! I love this PSX stamp but in my head I could picture it with pinks and purples...some ribbon perhaps and even some glitter. I just don't like it in black, white and green so I went back to the drawing board....actually my craft table and made a completely different card for this challenge!

Beary Cute!

Isn't this bear cute...I love the expression on her face! I think it's one of the biggest stamps I own (the card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4") and I'm not a huge fan of really big stamps so it really hasn't been used very much, if ever, over the years! As I was tidying up my stamps the other day I dug out a few really old ones that I wanted to ink up and this cute bear was one of them! She's a little too large to colour with my Copics so I chose to paint her with watercolours on watercolour paper. I left it blank on the inside so I can add a sentiment later depending on who I give it to. I added little pink rhinestones to her heart and of course she needed a bow!

Supplies:-
Stamp - PSX
Watercolour paper
Brilliance ink
Watercolour paints
SU coloured cardstock
SU ribbon
Pink rhinestones
