"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Sending My Love

The current Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge is to create a card or project using inchies. I love using inchies and have a whole draw of 1 inch chipboard squares just waiting to be used! I used the Ippity set How You Doin' which is perfect for stamping on inchies!

What a "Pretty in Pink" Card Christy. I too like inchies and have not utilised the many I had to have very well at all. You have inspired me to pull them out - well that's a start.
