Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

May You Be Blessed...

One of the challenges over at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is "Frame It" - Create a Frame or stamp a frame for your image or sentiment. I chose to make a frame with ribbon and roses to frame the stamps from the ODBD set Happy Birthday. It's a little hard to see in the photo but I stamped just the flowers from the top of the watering can in that set lightly behind the verse in green.

Beautiful card, love the lime and pink. Great idea to use part of the image, makes it seem we have two stamps.
