"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

You're too Kind

I needed a couple of thank you cards and couldn't resist using this cute little mouse by Penny Black. I made them slightly different so I could use some of my scrap designer paper. Doesn't this mouse have the cutest smile?

Supplies:- Scented Garden by Penny Black, Whimsical words by SU, PTI white cardstock, Brilliance ink, SU markers, SU circle punches, Scrap DP, Ribbon, and foam dots.

these are lovely. It shows how versatile the stamps are when you change your papers and they look as good as each other :o)
