Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Sent With Care

I started to tidy my craft room the other day and I came across this cute designer paper with birds from Stampin' Up. I thought the little birds looked like they were passing a message onto one another. I punched the little scalloped corners with the SU scallop oval punch. I ended up making this card and have yet to finish cleaning my craft room...I think I just added to the mess!

Supplies:- Unity KOTM May 2011, SU coloured cardstock, SU DSP, SU markers, SU oval punches, ribbon, foam dots and SU pearls.

You're right, they do look like they are talking to each other! Love the pretty blue and touch of yellow. Very pretty card.

I love those adorable birds Christy what a gorgeous PP. The colours are so pretty together. You suffer from the same craft room dilema as me.....it doesn't matter how much you tidy up the mess seems to reappear instantly.
