"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

LOVE
I'm not sure where the last couple of months have gone and I know I'm a little late for showing a Valentine's Day card but here it is... I'm starting to get back into my craft room after a busy couple of months...thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies:- DCWV Embossed card, SU ink, ColorBox Chalk, SU marker, SU coloured cardstock, Fiskar paper edgers and foam dots.
Christy, this is so beautiful! Love the way you did the lettering on here. Just gorgeous. Either save it for next Valentine's Day or just give it to someone you love! It's so lovely. Glad you're back. Lynn
Christy what a gorgeous card to get back into the swing of things with. It could be used for a whole variety of love themed occasions. I hope your absence from crafting has been for lots of good things and not bad. So happy to see you back in the land of blog, you've been missed! Danie xxx
Hi, my name is Christy and I love to make things! I quilt, lampwork, make jewelry, paint, scrapbook, stamp ...well let's just say I will try anything at least once! My current love...after God and my family is anything to do with paper and at the top of the list would be my Copic markers, my Stampscape stamps and of course my {Ippity} stamps! I have been rubber stamping for over 20 years. I hope you enjoy the work that I share here on my blog as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Thank you for stopping by, please don't hesitate to leave a message and I hope to see you again soon.
