Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Thanks for being so sweet!

Do you find that some cards are easier to create than others? As soon as I saw this cute gumball stamp from Unity's Kit Of The Month I knew exactly which paper I was going to use with it...I have no idea who made this patterned paper as I've owned it for years and only have a small piece left! Sometimes I can take forever to chose what paper I want to use and other times I know exactly want I want! I then punched out little circles and attached them with foam dots to match the gumballs!

This is cute, and the paper goes perfect with this image. I take for ever trying to decide what paper :)

Very cute card. Sometimes I think I am just a paper horder. I always hate to make that first cut into a new piece.
