"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Nature is the art of God
This week's Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge is to create a card or project that depicts water either in word or image. I made this lake picture by using five different Stampscape stamps and airbrushed them with Copic markers.
Oh wow! This is truly stunning!!! I LOVE the scene you created! I'd like to be there right now! Thanks for your continued support of Stampin Sisters in Christ!
What a beautiful card, Christy. It looks so real, makes me want to step into the serene scene! Thanks for joining in with us at Stampin' Sisters in Christ last week. So sorry my comment is so late! Hugs and Blessings!!!
Wow Christy this card is stunning! You did a beautiful job, can I come over? ;)
We seem to be having e mail problems you and I, so I thought leaving you a comment would be a way to communicate and let you know I've received each of your e mails and answered them too. I'm sorry you haven't received them. I have been having computer problems with my desktop and I think it's had it now.
Anyway, I received your beautiful cards. Is it okay to use one of them for the OWH Wed. MWT and the other for the Tues. MPS guest spot? I saw on my calendar I'd asked you to do the OWH MWT challenge sample 9-15. IF you'd like to e mail me that would be okay. You can leave me a comment on my blog too.
Hi, my name is Christy and I love to make things! I quilt, lampwork, make jewelry, paint, scrapbook, stamp ...well let's just say I will try anything at least once! My current love...after God and my family is anything to do with paper and at the top of the list would be my Copic markers, my Stampscape stamps and of course my {Ippity} stamps! I have been rubber stamping for over 20 years. I hope you enjoy the work that I share here on my blog as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Thank you for stopping by, please don't hesitate to leave a message and I hope to see you again soon.
