Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Welcome Little One

This week's Ippity challenge was to make a card using any sketch on SCS. There are hundreds of sketches on SCS and I was overwhelmed with the choice so finally I opened the master list of card sketches and picked one randomly...so today's card was made using lucky SC186!

I need some baby cards for my husband's work but do not know if they will be boys or girls so over the next week or so you will probably see a few baby cards using yellows and greens!
