Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

...and Keep You.

Today's card is very similar to yesterday's card...I really didn't plan it that way! I was making today's card for a lady in Australia and when I was going through my stamps for the perfect sentiment for her I chose the exact same sentiment as yesterday! The Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge was to use green this week so I thought I would make the card for that challenge too. It wasn't until I was photographing the cards that I realized how similar they were...goes to show what a busy week I've been having!

Oh Christy! This is another really cute spring card! Love the image and the gorgeous spring colors! Makes me want to make something for spring/Easter!!

Whether similar to another card you made or not, it is very pretty! I often do that when busy, the same layout seems to pop out of my head. Lovely card, such pretty embellishments and just well put together. Thanks for joining the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge this week!

Sometimes when you are working with colours or stamps and it is working I think it is good to keep going and add a twist or change an element as you did Christy. Cute card.
