Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Please know that I care...

The first card today was a special request and while I was having fun playing with rainbow colours I decided to make the second one as well. The house and rainbow in the first card have special meaning for the family it is being given to and I airbrushed the rainbow with Copics.

Supplies:- House a Home by Ippity, Hero Arts sentiment, SU Thoughts and Prayers, PTI white cardstock, Brilliance ink, SU markers, Copics, SU coloured cardstock, Nestabilities, SU ribbon, SU rhinestone, brads and foam dots.

Your rainbow coloured cards are just a beautiful as the real thing Christy. I love the way you have multicoloured your sentiment one the first card and the simplicity of the second. Just fabulous!
