Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Celebrate

The theme for the Stampin' Up card club I attend this month is birthdays. I paper pieced this cute little cupcake stamp from the SU set Cause for Celebration.

Supplies:- Cause for Celebration by SU, Sweet Little Sentiments bu SU, SU coloured cardstock, SU Sweet Pea DSP, SU ink, SU ribbon, and foam dots.

It is definitely an Aussie word Christy, but it does describe perfectly that state of being HOME.
Your little beach at Lennox Head is taking a pounding with the big seas and wild weather we are having here again.
