"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Happy New Baby

The Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World this week is this photo: Light & Bright...

I decided to make a baby card (because I needed one) in the colours from the photo and used clean lines like the furniture in the photo. I mainly used white to keep it light and bright! When I printed the photo on my printer the colours looked like Stampin' Up's Pacific Point blue, Rose Red and Apricot Appeal...looking at the photo on my screen I can now see that the colours should have been Taken With Teal, Melon Mambo and YoYo Yellow...I might have to try this challenge again!
