Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

What are you looking for?

"What we see depends mainly on what we look for"...so true and thought provoking! I'm not sure who I would give this card to or for what reason but one day it will be just the card I need. I think it would also be nice framed as a reminder to always look for the good and positive in every situation. Have a great day!

Supplies:- Unity KOTM February 2011, SU markers, DP unknown, SU coloured cardstock, SU lace, Foam dots, and SU pearls.

Absolutely love the truth of your sentiment Christy. We do decide whether a day or a situation will be a "diamond"or a "stone".
Your card is lovely and as you say you will match it perfectly to a recipient.

I really do need to use my diecut shapes more often. I love how you incorporate the pattern in a few areas of the card!
