"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Floral Friday

This month's Tangled Up in Creativity challenge hosted by Heather over at Stamping Mommy is perfect for my Floral Friday post because Heather challenged us to make a card inspired by the saying "April showers bring May flowers".

...and of course a flower arrangement for today...a hand tied bouquet of Roses, Wax Flower, Leather Fern, Salal and Myrtle.

Supplies:- Friendship Gardens by SU, SU coloured cardstock, DP scraps, SU flower punch, Sizzix Embosslits Cherry Blossom and Simple Flower, Foam Dots, Buttons and SU ribbon.

The roses in your arrangement are just stunning Christy. I do so enjoy your posts on friday and seeing your cards inspired by your floral arrangments. Today was so fitting to share your card which is just perfect for Heathers Challenge. Just Beautiful in imagery and sentiment.
