"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Hello
Hello....I have a flower arrangement and a card to share with you today. Today's arrangement is a basket arrangement...full of Roses, Snapdragons, Carnations and Freesias....and my card is full of flowers too!
How pretty both your card and arrangement are this week. I adore the smell of freesias and always plunder the few I have in the garden to put inside. It must be so good starting to see the spring flowers appearing.
What a beautiful arrangement and inspiration for your beautiful card creation today Christy. I love the assortment of flowers and colours you have used on your card.
Hi, my name is Christy and I love to make things! I quilt, lampwork, make jewelry, paint, scrapbook, stamp ...well let's just say I will try anything at least once! My current love...after God and my family is anything to do with paper and at the top of the list would be my Copic markers, my Stampscape stamps and of course my {Ippity} stamps! I have been rubber stamping for over 20 years. I hope you enjoy the work that I share here on my blog as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Thank you for stopping by, please don't hesitate to leave a message and I hope to see you again soon.
