Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

I'm here for you...

My first card today is for the All Creatures Great and Small challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs. I used a couple of stamps from the set On Eagle's Wings and airbrushed my card with Copic markers.

This next card is for Moxie Fab World...they have six colour challenges running at the moment until the end of the month and today's card is for the Jewel Tone challenge.

Both cards are gorgeous Christy. Your airbrushed cards always take my breath away and today's is no exception the Eagle and Sentiment are stunning and your airbrushing sets them off so beautifully.

I love your scalloped square background and the little bird with his delightful tail on your jewel toned card. TFS
