Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

A Pocket Full of Posies

First of all, the winner of yesterday's Ippity stamp set is...Tammy...congratulations! Thank you to everyone for all your lovely, heart warming comments. Tammy, I sent you an email this morning.

I have three cards today...all for the Moxie Fab World Colour Challenges. I had fun making all these pink cards...I do love pink!

WOW! A beautiful array of soft and very pretty cards. I don't know which one I like the best, they are all lovely! I love this color scheme.

So pretty, so feminine and girfriend special. I agree totally with Rose the colour scheme is delicious. My pick is the top card because it has a little more depth to it.
