Lone Pine Designs

"Lone Pine Designs" originated when I first moved to America in 2005 from Australia. My mother in Australia called our new home in NH "Lone Pine" as she wanted my new home, which is surrounded by pine trees, to have an Australian name. The Battle of Lone Pine is a very famous successful Australian battle which took place during the Gallipoli war in Turkey in 1915. It was called The Battle of Lone Pine for the solitary pine tree standing in the middle of the battlefield which surprisingly remained standing at the end of the battle. After the tough few months leading up to our arrival here in America and surviving the first year in a new country I felt like that pine tree still standing in the battlefield. It was in 2006 when I started to sell my work on Ebay that I decided that Lone Pine Designs would be the perfect name for this new endeavour in my life.

Wedding Blessing

I made today's card for this week's Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger.

As I was cleaning out my craft room the other day I came across a bag of white and cream lace leftover from a quilt I made many years ago and when I saw this week's trigger I knew some of it would be perfect! I cut flowers out of the lace to piece on my card. I have a hard time photographing white cards but hopefully you get the idea. The sentiment reads "May the God of Love be the heart of your marriage, the light of your home, and the ever-present partner in your new life together".
